CallerOne

Privacy policy

Last updated September 7, 2026

Summary

CallerOne asks for a permission only when you turn on the feature that needs it. Call log access is used only while CallerOne is your default phone app. Your contacts stay on your device unless you separately opt in to contribute them. The app does not read your SMS inbox and does not collect background location.

Calls and the call log

When you set CallerOne as your default phone handler, it reads the number of an incoming or recent call so it can show you who is calling and let you review recent calls. This access is used only while CallerOne holds that role. If you set another app as your default phone app, it stops.

Contacts

With Android's contacts permission, CallerOne matches a caller against the names saved on your phone, so a known number shows the name you gave it. This matching happens on your device.

Contributing contacts is separate and optional. If, and only if, you opt in through a specific disclosure inside the app, eligible saved names and numbers can be sent to us to improve directory information. Normal contact display does not require this. You can stop contributing at any time, and you can ask us to remove what was contributed.

Number lookup

When you search a number, or when a caller is not in your contacts, that number is sent to our service to look for a match and for any available risk context. We use it to answer the lookup, to build the spam and fraud signals described in the app, and to protect the service from abuse.

Location

The local services feature uses approximate location while the app is open, so it can show providers near you. CallerOne displays a city or an approximate distance and never your exact coordinates. It does not collect location in the background. You can use the feature by typing a city instead, or refuse the permission entirely.

Profiles and listings you create

If you create a personal profile, Digital ID, business, service-provider or job-seeker listing, the details you enter are stored on our service so they can be shown according to the visibility you choose for each field: private, visible to your contacts, or public. Anything you mark public can be seen by other users. You control this and can change it at any time.

Display over other apps

The floating caller card needs Android's “Display over other apps” permission so it can appear above whatever you are using. It shows caller context only. Refusing this permission disables the card and nothing else.

Advertising

CallerOne shows ads through Google AdMob, which receives your device's advertising identifier along with technical details such as device model, app version, and approximate region derived from your IP address. Ads are never shown on the system floating caller card, the lock screen, or the active-call controls. The app offers ad privacy choices in its settings, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android under Settings, Google, Ads.

What CallerOne does not do

  • It does not read your SMS inbox.
  • It does not collect location in the background.
  • It does not upload your contact list unless you opt in to contribution.
  • It does not sell your personal information.

Who else receives information

Lookup and profile data is handled by our own service. Google AdMob receives only what is described under Advertising. Google Play handles any purchase. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep information

Looked-up numbers are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the service. Profile and listing data is kept while your account is active. Anything held on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app.

Your choices

  • Deactivate your account. This is reversible and hides your profile.
  • Delete your data permanently from inside the app. This cannot be undone.
  • Change the visibility of any profile field at any time.
  • Withdraw any Android permission in Settings; each feature that needed it simply stops.
  • Stop contributing contacts, and ask for contributed entries to be removed.

You can also write to support@ranjeetsoft.com with a request about a specific number or account. We reply within 30 days.

Accuracy of risk labels

Spam and fraud context comes from community reports and automated signals. It can be wrong or out of date. Treat it as one input, not a verdict, and confirm anything that involves money or personal details through another channel.

Children

CallerOne is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Requests to our service travel over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what passes through ours.

Changes

The date at the top of this page changes whenever this policy does. Significant changes are announced in the app.
